FRENCH HOSPITAL HYBRID OR
The project included the expansion of an existing portion of A San Luis Obispo hospital by removing columns, walls, and roof framing to accommodate the addition of a highly tuned steel frame system capable of supporting the apparati necessary for the Advanced Cardiac Hybrid Surgical Suite, the first of its kind between San Francisco and Los Angeles.
ARROYO GRANDE HOSPITAL REHAB WING
The wing includes the addition of a new seismically isolated light framed building of roughly 8,000 sq. ft to an existing hospital to provide a total of 15,500 sq. ft for a new acute care wing.
BURLINGAME SURGICAL CENTER
SDG Architects developed a design to convert an existing 4 story 1960's concrete building built on concrete piles into a surgical center with increased loading requirements and a seismic upgrade.
The project included a complete upgrade to a steel braced frame system, incorporating the existing slabs and diaphragms, and utilizing the existing foundations to limit the cost to owner.
COPELAND HEALTH EDUCATION PAVILION
The health pavilion is a new 3 story steel framed structure providing 29,000 sq. ft. of medical office and training facilities to the French Hospital in San Luis Obispo.
SPRINGFIELD MONTESSORI SCHOOL
A new 15,800 sq. ft. primary school in Dublin, CA. The project was so successful that it immediately piggy backed into 3 more schools of similar size with the same design team.
CAMPBELL SURGICAL CENTER
The project included the seismic retrofit- and upgrade for an existing 70,000 sq. ft. structural steel office building in San Jose to account for the increase in demand seismic loading and to account for the development requirements of OSHPD.
